Here I am again

Well, I am finally posting for the second time.

We have been gone for a week to the Smoky Mountains and now I am home and getting ready for company in less than two weeks. The Burt's are coming to visit while Letty is in the area for a 50th year class reunion. It will be good to see them and I'll be even more excited when I get the house under control.

Tomorrow is the open house at work and I am not sure if I am going or not. I guess I should, but we'll see. I think I am going to keep the OL position for one more year...just taking it a year at a time now. I am going to talk to Heather and share with her that I will be gone for a week in January and see if that is okay with her. I guess I also need to think about what classes I am going to take this fall, too. It is hard to believe that it is that time already!!! The summer is flying by!!!!

The girls and I are starting diets today. It is imperative that I get some weight off for more reasons than one. My cholsesterol is high (the doctor put me on Crestor), my back kills me if I have to stand very long, and I need to be able to get around to play with Abbey and Katie. This is all even more important than fitting into clothes and feeling better about myself. As important as that is, it becomes secondary after a certain age....AAARRRGGGHHHH!!!

Ronnie went back to work today. I know that it won't be easy to get back in the groove after a week off, but we are vacationing again soon. We are planning on going to the Smokies again with the Girls (big girls and little girls) in September after Reunion. That will be a lot of fun (tiring but FUN).

Ollie doesn't seem to be doing very well now. She seems depressed...again. I need to keep her in my prayers.

Katie and Abbey were here yesterday and it was so good to see them. We sure missed them while we were gone. That is the hard thing about going away now.

Well, enough talking about cleaning and getting ready for company...I need to get up and get busy now.

I have no idea what I am doing, but just decided I would venture into the world of blogging. Hey, it is 2007.

I am a Mom and a Mammy to two of the cutest, smartest, and sweetest granddaughters in the whole world. Abbey is 3 (going on 8) and Katie is almost 16 months old. What a joy they are and what a change they make in your life. I know, I know, just another crazy Grandma talking, right? Well, yes that's true to some degree, but you just can't imagine what having Grandchildren is like until it happens to you. All of a sudden, you just become silly and you can't help yourself...nor do you want to.

I had better get busy. I am packing today because we are going to the Smoky Mountains for a few days and are leaving Wednesday. We are thinking about going on down to the Biltmore Estate since we have never done that and everyone tells us that it is really something to see. The house and the grounds are just unbelievable from what we hear. It's not a beach trip, but will be good to get away. That will come in January! We are going on a cruise then with some family and friends.
